Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant or hospitality preferred
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • possession of or ability to obtain valid California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • dependable and punctual
  • willingness to shift between host, busser, and food runner duties
  • basic food safety knowledge

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • manage waitlist, reservations, and seating flow
  • escort guests to the table and provide menus
  • answer phones and assist with guest inquiries
  • maintain a clean, organized host stand and entrance area
  • clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently
  • maintain the cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, and service stations
  • refill water, assist servers with beverage service as needed
  • monitor and restock service supplies
  • support servers to ensure timely table turnover and guest satisfaction
  • coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely food delivery
  • inspect dishes for quality, presentation, and completeness before leaving the kitchen
  • deliver food to tables and communicate clearly with guests and servers
  • assist in organizing tickets and maintaining efficient kitchen flow
  • ensure modifications and special requests are executed correctly
