Maritz is a renowned leader in business solutions and event management, with decades of innovation and dedication to fostering strong human connections within the workplace. As a company, Maritz has built more than just a reputation; it has developed a culture centered on collaboration, respect, and empowerment. This company believes that people and their potential are its greatest resources, which is why it prioritizes building inclusive and supportive teams. Maritz specializes in creating experiences, incentive programs, and recognition initiatives tailored to inspire individuals to perform at their best, thereby helping companies achieve their business objectives effectively. The organization’s commitment to a human-first design approach extends internally, encouraging a work environment where employees feel valued, supported, and genuinely appreciated. Employee feedback consistently highlights the company’s efforts in ensuring that managers are attentive to employee concerns and that work-life balance is effectively maintained through flexible work practices.
The Open Event Specialist role at Maritz is a dynamic and integral position within the company, focused on providing exceptional onsite event support. This role functions as the primary point of contact during events, responsible for managing the onsite logistics and coordinating efforts across various service partners including catering, audio-visual teams, security, and transportation services. The specialist ensures seamless event execution by maintaining clear communication channels between clients, internal teams, and external vendors. Duties include providing consultative support, running product demonstrations, managing registration and hospitality functions, and implementing crisis management protocols when necessary. The position requires a proactive individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, agile work environment, demonstrating strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Located in Austin, TX, this onsite role demands physical readiness for onsite responsibilities along with minimal travel as needed to support events elsewhere. Compensation packages at Maritz are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications, following fair and transparent internal practices. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and year-end holiday closures. Maritz is also committed to equal opportunity employment, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and providing an inclusive, discrimination-free workplace environment. Candidates must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S., as sponsorship is not provided. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a progressive company culture that values human connection as the fuel for possibility and success.
