We are currently seeking an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk to join our e-commerce and in-store grocery team. This role is essential in selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders with great attention to detail, especially regarding the freshness and quality of perishable goods. As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk and In-Store Grocery Shopper, you will be responsible for assembling orders, processing coupons, handling payments, and delivering loaded orders directly to customers' vehicles when they arrive for pick-up. Your role is critical in enhancing the customer experience by providing a positive interaction that encourages customer loyalty and repeat online shopping. You will be expected to demonstrate the company's core values throughout your daily tasks, maintaining a high standard of service and integrity.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, efficient, and capable of working independently while maintaining excellent communication skills. You will follow all bagging standards and company policies to ensure the correct packing of orders and manage substitutions when products are out of stock, communicating these changes effectively to the customers. Additionally, you are responsible for ensuring that all products are stored in optimal temperature zones and that staging areas and equipment are kept clean and organized.
Working as an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk not only requires physical activity and attention to detail but also the ability to connect with customers and provide them with a welcoming, professional service. Handling payments and processing orders through the point of sale system will also be part of your duties. Job Duties
- Select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality
- Assemble customers' online orders and process coupons and payments
- Deliver and load orders into customers' cars upon arrival
- Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards
- Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up
- Ensure order accuracy and quality of all items selected
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of staging areas and equipment
