Job Description

Our hotel is strategically located across the street from Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) and just about four miles from the iconic Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. This prime location makes it an appealing destination for both business and leisure travelers. Guests have convenient access to the excitement of Oneida Casino, which is connected to the hotel through an interior walkway, offering a variety of gaming options including tables and slot games. Additionally, for those who enjoy outdoor activities, Thornberry Creek at Oneida provides exceptional golf experiences less than seven miles away. Our hotel prides itself on delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

As a Banquets Captain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our banquet events run smoothly and exceed guest expectations. This leadership position is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and enjoys orchestrating seamless events from start to finish. You will be responsible for leading the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events, making sure every detail aligns perfectly with the Banquet Event Orders. Your leadership skills will be essential as you rally your team, assign tasks, and conduct pre-event huddles to empower staff and ensure flawless execution.

In this role, you will maintain high standards of appearance, service, and safety, acting as a style and safety guru for the team. Your knowledge of policies and liquor laws will be key in upholding compliance across all events. You will also act as a guest ambassador, bridging communication between Sales, Catering, and guests to quickly resolve any issues or complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction remains paramount.

Operationally, you will manage schedules, monitor wage reports, control inventory, and oversee beverage service, demonstrating strong financial acumen in handling paperwork, cash, and checks. The Banquets Captain is a multi-tasking marvel, supporting audio/visual needs, attending meetings, helping with lost and found, securing sensitive areas, and representing the company with professionalism and integrity.

This full-time position offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income options, life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. We also proudly offer daily pay opportunities. If you possess excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for hospitality and event management, this is your opportunity to shine and create magical event experiences at our premier hotel.
