Job Description
CareMed Specialty Pharmacy is a distinguished leader in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in providing comprehensive specialty medications and pharmacy services to patients with complex health conditions. Known for its commitment to excellence and patient-centered care, CareMed caters primarily to individuals requiring specialty pharmaceutical treatments that often involve intricate dispensing processes and ongoing clinical support. The company prides itself on its robust infrastructure, innovative technology, and a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes across the nation. Operating as a cutting-edge specialty pharmacy, CareMed continually expands its reach through advanced programs and services, ensuring timely access to specialty medications while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
The Oncology Concierge Technician role at CareMed Specialty Pharmacy is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking full-time employment with a flexible remote work environment. Working Monday through Friday, this position offers shift flexibility with schedules ranging from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time to 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM Central Standard Time. Starting at $23.00 per hour, the role includes a significant sign-on bonus of $5,000 for employees who begin before July 31, 2026. This position is integral in supporting the daily operations of CareMed’s expanding Oncology Concierge program, focusing on specialty prescription medications for oncology patients.
As an Oncology Concierge Technician, you will directly assist pharmacists, lead technicians, supervisors, and managers in managing the workflow needed to dispense specialty prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will also include handling inbound calls, resolving inquiries from healthcare providers and patients, coordinating medication deliveries, collecting co-payments, and triaging calls appropriately. This role demands meticulous attention to manufacturer program rules and processes, including HUB enrollment and REMS program compliance, ensuring that all pharmacy activities adhere strictly to professional, ethical, and legal standards. You will be expected to maintain a safe, clean, and confidential work environment while contributing positively to the company culture and team efforts. Working at CareMed means joining a patient-focused team where your skills help facilitate seamless pharmacy operations and enhance patient experiences throughout their treatment journeys.
This position is ideal for pharmacy technicians with at least one year of pharmacy experience, particularly those with knowledge of oncology and specialty pharmacy practices. Applicants must hold the minimum education of a high school diploma or GED and be registered or licensed according to state requirements. Certifying as a Pharmacy Technician or Oncology Concierge Technician, though desirable, complements the role, especially for candidates with specialty pharmacy experience. The job emphasizes excellent communication skills, independent work ethic, time management, and a detail-oriented approach to ensure high-quality service delivery. The benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and company-paid life and disability insurance coverage, reinforcing CareMed’s commitment to employee well-being and professional growth.
