The successful candidate will work closely with distributor marketing and sales teams, as well as key on-premise accounts, to ensure best-in-class execution and collaboration. The mission of this role is to build winning teams and partnerships, think strategically like an owner, foster a positive and engaging development culture, and deliver impactful results. Key responsibilities include overseeing market and channel execution to drive net sales value, gross profit, market share growth, and KPI attainment within the assigned territory or business channel. The role demands a deep understanding of market dynamics, distributor execution, and competitive activity related to pricing and promotional programming.
Additionally, the role requires a strategic approach to local programming, resource management, and successful execution of on-premise events and sampling initiatives. The ability to manage budgets effectively, including operating expenses, brand investment funds, travel and entertainment, is essential.
Distributor management is a critical component of the position, with responsibilities including setting clear goals and objectives aligned with performance targets, directing growth initiatives, holding distributor principals accountable for financial outcomes, and coaching distributor sales forces to achieve sustained performance. Business planning duties involve leading planning discussions with local leadership to align on priorities, executing category, brand, point-of-sale promotions, and new launches in accordance with brand standards.
The role also encompasses relationship management, where building and maintaining strong partnerships with national, regional, and independent accounts is vital. It includes ensuring accountability, providing constructive feedback on non-compliance issues, collaborating with marketing managers for effective in-market activations, and motivating consumer-facing team members to execute and meet essential initiatives, distribution goals, and retail display standards.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Five plus years of relevant work experience in spirits wine or consumer goods industry
- Proven ability to manage and develop strong distributor and customer relationships
- Strong understanding of on-premise channel dynamics and growth strategies
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in budget handling and resource allocation
- Licensed to drive motor vehicles
- Willingness to travel intermittently
- Physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs and perform sedentary and active tasks
- Skilled in using MS Office software
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Five plus years of work-related experience in spirits wine supplier industry or other consumer goods companies
- Stakeholder management experience with ability to influence and develop strong partnerships
- Thorough knowledge of distribution promotion and selling techniques and strong analytical capabilities
- Deep knowledge and experience of On-Premise Channel and growth levers
- Proven history of successful team management beneficial
- Experience working with a distributor beneficial
- Exceptional planning and self-management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Budget development and management experience
- Licensed driver
- Ability for intermittent travel
- Capability to lift lower push carry or pull up to 45 lbs
- Ability to sit stand walk bend reach stoop and type using a computer
Job Duties
- Ensure end-to-end execution of commercial responsibilities driving NSV DGP market share growth and KPI attainment in the assigned territory or channel of business
- Invest time in the account universe to gain a broad view of the market assess distributor execution and understand competitive pricing and programming and adapt accordingly
- Manage local programming strategy execution and resource management
- Successfully execute all on-premise events and samplings leveraging tracking and execution recaps
- Manage budget for self and team including OPEX Brand Investment Funds Travel and Entertainment
- Set goals and objectives with distributors aligned with performance targets
- Direct distributors partners to growth levers
- Hold distributor principals accountable for financial performance objectives and KPI delivery
- Coach and monitor distributor sales force inspiring teams to achieve objectives
- Drive planning discussions with local leadership to gain buy-in and alignment on key priorities
- Manage presentation and execution of category brand plans POS promotions and new item introductions ensuring brand compliance
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers facilitating collaborative partnerships
- Provide feedback on non-compliance while maintaining distributor engagement
- Collaborate with marketing managers for in-market activations
- Inspire and manage consumer-facing teams driving execution accountability ensuring distribution displays and shelf goals are met and missions are completed
- Identify gaps and build solutions in collaboration with distributors
