Job Description
Sam's Club is a leading membership-only retail warehouse club, part of the Walmart family of companies, known for providing high-quality products at low prices to its members. With a reputation for outstanding customer service and a wide selection of merchandise spanning groceries, electronics, home goods, and more, Sam's Club serves millions of members across its numerous locations nationwide. This environment promotes efficiency, value, and a strong community feel, emphasizing respect, integrity, and excellence in every aspect of the operation. Sam's Club aims to create a workplace where associates are supported and empowered to grow, learn, and contribute to the company's success while prioritizing safety and ethical standards.
The role of a Supervisor at Sam's Club involves a blend of leadership, customer service, and operational responsibilities designed to ensure a smooth, productive, and customer-focused store environment. As a Supervisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the management team by overseeing associates in your assigned area, guiding them in achieving goals, and maintaining high standards of customer service and merchandising. This role requires a hands-on approach where you will engage directly with members, assist in resolving their concerns, and provide knowledgeable support about products and services. Supervisors are responsible for operational tasks including receiving and stocking inventory, maintaining the sales floor, ensuring safety compliance, and managing merchandise presentation to optimize customer experience.
In this position, you will lead and participate in team efforts, fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and driving continuous improvements. You will be a key point of contact for associates, providing training, coaching, and mentorship to develop their skills and performance. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities for supervision activities such as recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations. Sam's Club encourages supervisors to act with integrity, respect diversity, and uphold the highest ethical standards, reflecting the company’s values in every interaction.
As part of the Walmart family, Sam's Club offers competitive pay ranging from $23.00 to $31.00 per hour, inclusive of additional premiums based on schedule and specific work performed. The position qualifies for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that supports physical, financial, and personal well-being. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage; 401(k) and stock purchase programs; paid time off; and other perks like adoption expense reimbursement and company discounts. The company also provides excellent learning and development opportunities through Live Better U, which covers education expenses for a variety of programs.
This role is based in Ankeny, Iowa, and requires in-person attendance. Sam's Club is committed to a drug-free workplace to ensure a safe and productive environment for all employees. If you are a motivated leader with retail and customer service experience, and a desire to drive excellence in member service and store operations, this Supervisor position at Sam's Club offers a fulfilling career opportunity with significant growth potential.
