On-Demand Team Members do not have a fixed weekly schedule posted but rather pick up shifts as needed, thus granting them the independence to tailor their work around other commitments. Successful candidates participate in a Target Welcome orientation and complete necessary training to prepare for the responsibilities ahead.

As a Guest Advocate within this role, team members become the face of Target, welcoming guests and ensuring that every interaction exceeds guest service expectations. The position entails engaging with guests both in-person and through digital service channels, with the goal of making shopping quick, easy, and enjoyable. Responsibilities include greeting guests, assisting with purchases, promoting loyalty programs, and supporting various store services such as Order Pickup, Drive Up, and Gift Registry. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to respond promptly to shift notifications
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Availability to work at least one shift every four weeks
  • Completion of Target Welcome orientation and training
  • Ability to stand or remain mobile for entire shift duration
  • Capability to work in varying environmental conditions including temperature and humidity
  • Willingness to adhere to safety, ethical conduct and compliance guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and improve their experience
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Promote and explain benefits of Target loyalty programs and assist with sign-up
  • Support guest services such as Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • Comply with all safety policies and report hazards
  • Support Cash Office processes including cash system management
