Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • ability to handle cash register and cash transactions accurately
  • capability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • reliable attendance and active engagement in picking up shifts
  • ability to respond promptly to contact attempts from leadership
  • capable of working under varying temperature and environmental conditions
  • mobility to stay on feet for the duration of scheduled shifts
  • minimum commitment to work at least one shift every four weeks

  • Effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guests
  • ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a helpful and welcoming way to solve their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about store products, services, and tools to improve the guest experience
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately in compliance with food safety and company standards
  • minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and service quality
  • promote Target loyalty programs and assist guests with enrollments and applications
  • manage order pick up, drive up, and registry guest services ensuring exceptional quality
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area including gathering abandoned items
  • comply with safety policies and ethical conduct standards
  • support cash office processes and handle cash register operations when needed
  • partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover guest shopping experiences
  • support all other duties based on business needs
