Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • Active engagement by picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks
  • Reliable and prompt attendance when shifts are picked up
  • Capability to work in varying temperatures and physical conditions
  • Ability to remain mobile during the entire duration of a scheduled shift
  • Willingness to participate in orientation and training programs
  • Comply with all company policies and safety practices

Job Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, including the use of positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in customer service is preferred but not required
  • Ability to accurately handle cash transactions
  • Knowledge of store tools, products, and services is a plus

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to improve guest experience
  • Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
  • Handle order pick up, drive-up, and registry guest services
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • Support cash office processes and handle cash register operations
  • Comply with safety policies and report hazards
  • Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover guest experience
