Job Requirements
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
- reliable and prompt attendance with an ability to pick up shifts regularly
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- demonstrate positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
- capability to remain composed and multitask in a fast-paced setting
- willingness to participate in Target Welcome orientation and structured training
- compliance with safety policies and procedures
- ability to work in varying temperatures and remain mobile throughout shifts
- active engagement by responding to contact attempts and working at least one shift every four weeks
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous customer service or retail experience advantageous
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate technology such as handheld scanners and mobile apps
- capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- physical ability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds
Job Duties
- welcome and greet guests while performing daily tasks
- assist guests with inquiries and needs in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
- operate cash registers, accurately scan and bag items while ensuring compliance with safety standards
- promote and facilitate guest enrollment in Target loyalty programs
- support order pick-up, drive-up, and registry services with accuracy and courtesy
- maintain clean and organized work areas, including managing abandoned items and stock supplies
- adhere to all safety policies, ethical standards, and company procedures
