Job Requirements
- Ability to handle cash register operations and cash transactions accurately
- Physical capability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility to pick up shifts during nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- Active engagement by working at least one shift every four weeks and responding to contact attempts
- Capability to work in varying temperatures and remain mobile during shifts
- Commitment to attending Target Welcome orientation and training
- Willingness to comply with safety policies and report hazards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Effective communication skills including positive language and attentive listening
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Attention to detail while multitasking
- Willingness to educate guests about products and services
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in customer service or retail is a plus
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment
- Attempt every return and partner with leaders to resolve guest issues following policies
- Deliver accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
- Work safely and comply with all safety policies and report hazards
- Support cash office processes and manage cash systems as needed
- Perform all other duties based on business needs
