With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services, Baylor Scott & White integrates clinical excellence with compassionate care to ensure each patient experiences the best possible outcomes. Their core values emphasize service with integrity, continuous improvement, teamwork, and impactful actions, creating a positive and supportive environment for both patients and employees alike.

This PRN (as-needed) Driver role at Baylor University Medical Center, located in downtown Dallas, provides flexible, non-scheduled work opportunities ideal for individuals seeking adaptable work hours. The Driver position plays a crucial part in supporting the hospital's operations by providing safe and efficient transportation of supplies, equipment, and patients within the medical center campus. Operating under general supervision, the Driver ensures materials and personnel are moved promptly and securely, contributing to the smooth functioning of the healthcare system. This role offers an excellent chance for those who value autonomy, reliability, and a role that directly supports patient care and facility logistics.

The Driver is responsible for preparing supplies and special parcels for delivery, loading and unloading trucks safely, and navigating challenging city environments to deliver items to the correct locations across the medical center and warehouses. The role demands adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards to maintain compliance and safety at all times. Daily vehicle maintenance checks, such as fuel, oil, and fluid levels, are essential responsibilities to keep the delivery fleet in optimal condition.

Success in this position requires excellent customer service skills marked by empathy, patience, and confidence, as Drivers often interact with patients and staff. The ability to sort, count, and verify delivery items accurately ensures that the right materials reach the correct destination, supporting patient care and operational efficiency. Basic computer skills, including electronic medical documentation, handheld scanning, and email communication, are necessary to fulfill administrative duties effectively.

Baylor Scott & White Health offers comprehensive benefits designed to support employees throughout their personal and professional journeys. Benefits include immediate eligibility for health and welfare programs, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%, tuition reimbursement to encourage continuous education, and paid time off accrual starting from day one.
