The Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is seeking a motivated and personable Restaurant Host to join its talented team for the season from May 2026 through September 2026. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a luxury hospitality setting. The Restaurant Host serves as the welcoming face of the dining establishment, responsible for greeting and seating guests promptly and courteously while efficiently managing guest reservations and inquiries. This individual plays a key role in ensuring the highest possible customer satisfaction by adhering to Four Seasons' service standards and policies.

As a Restaurant Host at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis, you will be instrumental in creating memorable dining experiences by anticipating guest needs, maintaining well-organized seating arrangements, and facilitating smooth restaurant operations. You will interact with guests personally, recognizing repeat visitors by name, answering phone calls according to polished customer service protocols, and providing detailed information about the restaurant and hotel amenities. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting daily menus to ensure they are presented in excellent condition and for supporting the overall restaurant environment through compliance with company work rules and fostering a positive working atmosphere with colleagues.

Candidates for this seasonal role should possess a high school education or equivalent experience alongside six to twelve months of restaurant or food and beverage experience. A strong understanding of restaurant operations within a luxury hotel context and proficiency in using computer reservation systems are essential. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet the dynamic demands of the hospitality industry.

Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of the restaurant aspect of Four Seasons services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference
  • Set up host/hostess stand, review guest reservation book, and make recommendations for room setup maintaining station charts and cover counts
  • Answer telephones according to Four Seasons standards and take guest reservations or provide information about the restaurant or hotel services
  • Anticipate the needs of guests, respond to inquiries or problems, recognize regular guests by name and use their name consistently
  • Inspect and maintain daily menus ensuring quality, condition, and appearance while developing a comprehensive knowledge of menu items and specials
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
