We are currently seeking a dedicated On-Call Server Assistant/Busser to join our team at Truss Restaurant & Bar within the Napa Valley resort. The Server Assistant role is vital in supporting the service team, ensuring efficient and seamless dining experiences for guests. This position involves close collaboration with servers to deliver food and beverages promptly, maintain cleanliness and order in the restaurant, and assist in setting up and breaking down service areas. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-energy environment and possess a passion for hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate guest needs.

Job Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • minimum one-year food and beverage service or equivalent
  • ability to carry and balance a tray
  • ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
  • basic food and beverage service knowledge and skills
  • valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Job Duties

  • Stocking and restocking of linen, china, silver and glassware for service and bar ensuring that all are polished and in good condition
  • preparation of condiment and garnish items and food and beverage items as needed
  • set up tables, stations and counter as required for the operations
  • maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the Restaurant for the duration of the shift
  • greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guests needs before requests are necessary
  • assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guests table
  • breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations
