The organization prides itself on inclusivity and serves all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, sexual orientation, or ability to pay for services. Sea Mar's extensive network includes more than 90 medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics, along with a wide range of nutritional, social, and educational services. This broad scope of care highlights Sea Mar's commitment to holistic health and well-being in the communities it serves.
The position of Front Desk Receptionist at Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a critical role that serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and positive patient experience, contributing significantly to clinic flow and ensuring patients have smooth access to care. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for various front office operations including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, registering patients by gathering accurate demographic information, and collecting patient payments while maintaining thorough records. Additionally, this position supports patients by assisting with forms, providing information about services, and referring patients to appropriate community resources. The role also involves supporting the back-office team to address clinical quality measure gaps and maintaining a clean, well-organized front desk and patient waiting area.
The work environment is fast-paced and involves frequent patient interaction, requiring a combination of strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and patients. The position comes with a competitive hourly wage starting at $21.30 and offers flexible scheduling from Monday to Friday, which can be adjusted based on need. Beyond the base pay, Sea Mar provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees working 30 hours or more, which includes medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, long-term disability, employee assistance programs, and paid time off. Employees also have access to a 401(k) retirement plan and opportunities for career growth within a culturally rich and diverse workplace.
Joining Sea Mar Community Health Centers means becoming part of a dedicated team that values community service, diversity, and professional development. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through quality healthcare service and support. Sea Mar supports a dynamic, inclusive working environment where employees can thrive personally and professionally while contributing to the health and vitality of the community.
