Located in Newport Beach, CA, Plus One is currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and professional Receptionist to join their fitness center team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of customer service and operational excellence the company is known for. As the first point of contact for members and guests entering the facility, the Receptionist embodies the company’s welcoming culture, fostering positive experiences through courteous and professional interactions.

The Receptionist’s responsibilities encompass greeting clients warmly, managing account inquiries and payments efficiently, addressing member feedback with responsiveness, and supporting front desk operations with administrative duties. Additionally, this role ensures facility cleanliness and manages inventory for supplies and retail products, contributing to a seamless and inviting environment for all visitors. Candidates are expected to possess strong organizational skills and proficiency in common computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, alongside the ability to engage effectively with a diverse clientele.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications if applicable
  • Must pass a drug test prior to employment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to network, engage and interact with all clients, guests and members
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Competence with basic computer skills, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web applications
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (if applicable)

Job Duties

  • Greet members and guests with warmth and professionalism as they enter the facility
  • Respond to and provide assistance with members’ feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating to management as needed
