Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland, located at 1515 W 3rd St, Cleveland, Ohio, is part of the globally recognized luxury hospitality brand that epitomizes exceptional guest service and unparalleled experiences. As a flagship property within the Marriott International portfolio, The Ritz-Carlton is synonymous with luxury, sophistication, and meticulous attention to detail. This elegant hotel is dedicated to creating memorable moments for every guest through its commitment to the Gold Standards—a set of values and service principles that define its legendary hospitality. Operating within a culture that celebrates diversity, creativity, and compassion, The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland fosters a supportive environment where employees can thrive personally and professionally while contributing to world-class guest experiences.

The position available is for a Guest Event Expert, which is a non-management, part-time role primarily focused on ensuring that events and banquets hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland are executed flawlessly from start to finish. This role is vital in delivering a seamless and unique event experience, as the Guest Event Expert is involved in various functions such as setting up event materials, transporting supplies, taking food and beverage orders, interacting with guests, and assisting in breaking down after events. With an hourly pay range of $10.15, plus service charge eligibility, the role also includes a training and PTO rate of $14.00 per hour. Candidates who have availability on Friday evenings, weekends, and holidays are preferred given the nature of event scheduling.

Working as a Guest Event Expert at The Ritz-Carlton is not just about completing tasks, but about creating an atmosphere where guests feel valued and attended to with excellence. The role demands professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct, as well as compliance with company policies and safety standards. Employees will often be on their feet, moving throughout the event spaces, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds without assistance, embodying a hands-on approach necessary for the fluid and dynamic operations of luxury event service.

The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland offers an enriching environment for individuals seeking to enter or advance in the hospitality industry. This role is ideal for those with less than one year of related work experience, and it does not require prior supervisory experience or special certifications. The hotel emphasizes the development of its team members through deep engagement with its Gold Standards, which include the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. These guiding principles ensure that every team member delivers not only tasks but also meaningful guest interactions that resonate long after the event concludes.

Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a global team recognized for unparalleled luxury service. It is a place where employees are empowered to be creative, thoughtful, and compassionate, fostering an environment conducive to personal best and professional growth. The company embraces equal opportunity employment and actively promotes a workplace culture where diverse backgrounds and talents are valued and celebrated.
