Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Destination by Hyatt, is a distinguished 4-star full-service resort that has been a beacon of luxury and comfort since its opening in 1985. Located on 25 acres of lush greenery in Southern Colorado Springs, the resort offers breathtaking mountain views and a variety of recreational activities such as golf, swimming, and tennis, creating an unparalleled experience for its guests. As part of the Hyatt brand, which is globally recognized for excellence in hospitality, Cheyenne Mountain Resort prides itself on delivering unmatched service in a supportive and enriching work environment. The resort is committed to its mission to care for people so they can be their best, fostering a culture that values empathy, wellbeing, respect, integrity, experimentation, and inclusion. This commitment underpins every aspect of the guest experience and employee engagement at the resort.
The Events Server position at Cheyenne Mountain Resort is a pivotal role within the resort's hospitality team, designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, guest-focused environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This hourly role offers a competitive wage starting at $15.16 plus service charge, reflecting the value placed on skilled team members. Events Servers are responsible for ensuring that function spaces are visually appealing and that the menu offerings are presented with professionalism and flair. Responsibilities span from setting up linens and tables to managing food stations and providing beverage and bar service with a focus on guest satisfaction and adherence to resort standards.
An essential part of the role includes understanding and executing the Banquet Event Order (BEO), ensuring that all event specifics are met with precision. Servers must maintain a clean and sanitary environment, perform general banquet preparations, room refreshes, and post-event cleanups efficiently. Additionally, the position requires teamwork, attentive guest service, and the ability to handle guest queries or complaints professionally. Events Servers who perform bartending duties must follow responsible alcohol service protocols. Candidates for this role must be physically capable of lifting moderate weights and have the availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
Joining Cheyenne Mountain Resort means becoming part of a dynamic team within a globally recognized hotel brand that values employee growth and development. Employees benefit from a variety of perks, including growth opportunities, referral bonuses, recognition and rewards programs, basic life insurance, sick days, and access to discounted room rates for friends and family. The resort also offers a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, an employee stock purchase plan with a discount, complimentary parking, meals during shifts, access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and discounts at the resort's restaurants and coffee shops.
This role is ideal for individuals who have prior experience in banquet or event serving and bartending, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and are eager to contribute to an exceptional guest experience within a team-oriented setting. Cheyenne Mountain Resort is an equal-opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive workplace where all qualified candidates receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply promptly, as the application window spans from May 20, 2026, to June 20, 2026, or until the position is filled.
