Job Description

Pace is a leading environmental science and testing company committed to advancing the health and safety of communities across the nation. Since its founding in 1978, Pace has dedicated itself to developing innovative scientific practices that drive sustainability and provide accurate, reliable data to its partners at every critical stage. With a steadfast mission to make the world a safer and healthier place, Pace continually pushes the boundaries of science and technology to support environmental protection, public health, and safety initiatives. The company values curiosity, skill development, and a collaborative spirit among its employees, creating a workplace culture where passionate individuals can grow their careers while contributing to meaningful scientific work that positively impacts communities and ecosystems.

Pace is currently seeking a Courier to join its team. This role is of vital importance as it supports the laboratory and field operations by safely and efficiently picking up, transporting, and delivering environmental samples, documents, and materials. As a Courier, you will directly contribute to maintaining the integrity of samples throughout the transport process—ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data that informs decisions protecting the environment and public health. This part-time, on-call position operates Monday through Friday with variable hours based on business needs, averaging between 0 to 16 hours per week. The hourly wage for this role is $17.00 and the final compensation will be determined considering factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and adherence to internal equity and market conditions.

In your role at Pace, you will prepare your assigned vehicle to meet operational standards, conduct safety checks and basic maintenance, and assist staff with procedures related to sample transport. Your ability to promote a positive and customer-focused work environment aligned with Pace values is essential. This position demands strong communication skills, both for collaborating with internal teams and delivering excellent service to external customers. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and as a member of a team, using your judgment and professionalism daily. A valid driver's license, adeptness with basic computer applications, and comfort in maintaining accurate documentation are key aspects of success in this position.

Joining Pace means becoming part of a company that values diversity and equal opportunity, creating an inclusive workplace free from discrimination. As a member of the Pace team, you will benefit from a strong commitment to your professional growth, with access to support programs and resources designed to enhance your wellbeing and career advancement. Whether you are starting a new career or seeking experience in the environmental science field, this Courier role offers a meaningful way to contribute to a mission-driven company focused on making a tangible difference in the world.
