The Concierge position at the American Cancer Society plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for guests arriving at the facility. This on-call, as-needed role offers a pay rate of $19.50 per hour and primarily involves overnight shifts with occasional daytime and weekend coverage. The Concierge is responsible for managing front desk operations, greeting guests, facilitating check-in and check-out procedures, and providing a safe and welcoming environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as it involves engaging with guests, coordinating transportation and security services, and responding to inquiries and emergencies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and multitask
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
- excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- minimal travel required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus
- previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred
- minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and multitask
