The On-Call Concierge position at the Hope Lodge facility in Omaha, NE, plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests during their stay. Hope Lodge offers free lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers who must travel away from home for treatment, making the Concierge’s role essential in providing a supportive and welcoming environment. This part-time position provides flexibility in shifts based on business needs and offers a pay rate of $18.59 per hour. Responsibilities include front desk management with a focus on hospitality, answering inquiries, assisting with check-in and check-out, and maintaining an organized front desk area. Additionally, the role involves coordinating and driving transportation for guests attending medical appointments, thereby ensuring timely and safe travel.
The Concierge also provides crucial administrative support by handling calls, managing guest records, and processing reservations. Attention to safety and security is paramount, as the Concierge monitors the lobby area, implements access protocols, and responds effectively to emergencies. This multifaceted role demands excellent communication, multitasking, organizational skills, and a warm and empathetic demeanor. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- proficiency in using multi line telephone systems
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
