Job Description

The Lodge at St. Edward Park is a distinguished hotel located in one of Washington's most-visited state parks. Nestled amid stunning natural landscapes including the serene waters of Lake Washington, verdant greenery, and numerous walking trails, the lodge provides guests with a unique blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Housed in a beautifully restored historic seminary, the hotel opened its doors in May 2021 and features 84 thoughtfully designed guestrooms and suites that merge the building's original character with contemporary amenities. Guests at The Lodge enjoy access to a farm-to-table restaurant, two sophisticated bars, a full-service spa, a fitness center, and a host of other high-end services that promote relaxation and rejuvenation in an idyllic setting.

The Lodge is operated by Columbia Hospitality, Inc., a national management and consulting firm with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Renowned for crafting exceptional experiences across a diverse portfolio of award-winning hotels, resorts, residential communities, golf clubs, restaurants, bars, and event venues, Columbia Hospitality values creativity, enthusiasm, honesty, inclusion, and respect. This people-first company places a strong emphasis on an inclusive and dynamic work culture, fostering growth, collaboration, and a shared commitment to providing extraordinary service to guests. Consistently recognized as one of the top companies to work for in Washington, Columbia Hospitality ranks highly due to its dedication to nurturing a fun, supportive, and values-driven workplace where employees feel supported and empowered.

The On-Call Busser position at The Lodge at St. Edward Park is an integral role within the food and beverage department, designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and committed to ensuring a remarkable dining experience for every guest. As a busser, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness, efficiency, and readiness by quickly clearing tables, resetting them, organizing service stations, restocking supplies, and assisting servers during busy and peak periods. Your ability to provide swift, courteous service directly supports smooth operations and helps create a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, exemplifying a high level of hospitality and teamwork.

This is an hourly, on-call position with competitive pay starting at $17.13 per hour, plus eligibility for tips and tip pooling. Employees benefit from daily pay options, paid time off, holiday pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, and a 401K plan. Additional perks include employer contributions to HSA/FSA plans, referral bonuses, discounted lodging and dining opportunities, an employee assistance program, online learning platforms for professional growth, volunteer opportunities, and participation in various committees that promote diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. The company culture is rooted in values and aims to create a supportive environment where every team member feels valued and energized to succeed.

As an On-Call Busser at The Lodge, you will be responsible not only for operational tasks but also for contributing to the exceptional guest experience that defines Columbia Hospitality's service promise. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative atmosphere, enjoy engaging with guests and colleagues, and seek personal and professional development in an inspiring natural setting.
