Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of banquet or food service experience
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Flexibility to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Two to four years of food service experience preferably in banquet service
- Experience working in a 4-star or 5-star venue with synchronized service
- Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
Job Duties
- Set up banquet rooms including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and arranging table centerpieces
- Serve food and beverages by picking up trays, carrying to function locations, serving guests, and clearing tables
- Break down banquet rooms by bussing tables, putting away dirty linens and centerpieces, and vacuuming
- Clean back hall and organize storerooms
- Set up AM or PM break stations including coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages
- Assist with event room setup according to meal periods and table needs
- Perform food and beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and stocking workstations
- Provide excellent guest service by welcoming and interacting professionally, explaining menu items and taking into account special dietary requests
- Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction and address guest issues promptly
- Maintain awareness of safety issues and assist other event and restaurant staff as needed
