The current opportunity is for a Banquet Server at The Phelps, a role vital to the success of banquet functions and overall guest satisfaction. The Banquet Server plays a key part in preparing banquet rooms, serving meals and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and handling setup and breakdown for events. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of food service experience

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Set up banquet rooms including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing table centerpieces
- serve food and beverages to guests during banquet functions
- clear tables and bus banquet rooms after events
- break down banquet rooms including putting away linens, vacuuming, and removing centerpieces
- prepare and set up AM or PM break stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages
- assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs
- perform food and beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and stocking workstations
- provide excellent guest service including greeting guests warmly, addressing special requests and dietary needs, explaining menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- maintain cleanliness and organization in back hall and storerooms
- monitor safety issues and report any hazards immediately
- collaborate professionally with other staff and departments to ensure smooth event operations
- provide assistance to other event and restaurant staff as needed
