Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Collection, is a distinguished and historic landmark situated in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This luxury hotel and social members club presents a unique blend of heritage and modern sophistication, providing a residential-style experience with a deep connection to the independent spirit of Austin. Designed by renowned designer Ken Fulk, the estate occupies a sprawling 10-acre site featuring 54 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, including five signature suites that embody comfort and charm. The property is known for its exceptional amenities such as a striking 50-foot oval swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness studio, and distinctive dining venues including Lutie’s Garden Restaurant, the estate’s signature culinary destination. The Banquet Server role at Commodore Perry Estate places you at the forefront of creating memorable guest experiences through attentive service and impeccable event execution. As a vital member of the hospitality team, you will welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, anticipating their needs to ensure a seamless dining atmosphere. This position requires a blend of interpersonal skills and operational expertise, as you will interact with guests, provide detailed menu information, coordinate special dietary requirements, and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your contributions will help uphold Commodore Perry Estate’s reputation as an authentic Austin destination for contemporary style dining and celebration. Job Requirements

  • Minimum age to serve alcohol
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • At least 1 year of server experience
  • Ability to adhere to timelines in completing set-ups
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be highly detail orientated
  • Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to obtain relevant state and local certifications such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training

Job Duties

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests with a friendly greeting using their name when possible
  • Anticipate guests' service needs by observing and asking questions
  • Thank guests and provide a warm farewell
  • Listen and respond to guest questions and concerns using property-specific procedures
  • Engage guests in conversation about property services and local attractions
  • Comply with quality assurance standards
  • Present accurate checks and process payment following cash handling policies
  • Answer menu questions and communicate special dietary requests to kitchen staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas practicing clean-as-you-go
  • Set tables according to event and service standards including linens and glassware
  • Follow alcohol serving procedures
  • Record transactions accurately at order time
  • Follow safety and security policies
  • Complete closing duties including cleaning and restocking
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures
