With a deep commitment to employee wellbeing, diversity, and professional growth, Pyramid Global Hospitality stands out as an employer that values inclusion and supports its workforce through comprehensive benefits and meaningful work environments. The company’s approach to employee development is holistic, providing ongoing training and opportunities that help team members build their skills and advance their careers in the hospitality sector. Their culture not only emphasizes exceptional guest experiences but also prioritizes building strong, supportive relationships among employees.
One key property within the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio is The Quadrangle Club, known as the faculty and social club of the University of Chicago. Established in 1893 and housed in a historic facility designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw, the Quadrangle Club plays a pivotal role in the intellectual and social fabric of the university community. It is a distinguished venue where notable scholars, including Nobel laureates, have gathered to exchange ideas shaping global thought. As a prestigious establishment, the club maintains a high standard of service and a welcoming atmosphere for both faculty and guests.
The role offered at The Quadrangle Club, under the Pyramid Global Hospitality umbrella, is designed for experienced food and beverage professionals who are passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience. The position requires a minimum of four years’ experience in food and beverage, with preferred experience also encompassing banquet, event, or catering service. Candidates who have worked in upscale 4-star or 5-star venues and have knowledge of synchronized service are highly sought after. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of wines, beers, cocktails, and spirits and be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
This employment opportunity is part-time or full-time with a competitive starting wage of $14.00 per hour, reflecting the value the company places on skilled hospitality professionals. Employees at Pyramid Global Hospitality benefit from a supportive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and respect for diverse backgrounds. They must exemplify the organization’s values by maintaining a professional appearance, demonstrating excellent communication skills, and being committed to teamwork and guest satisfaction.
The role involves a comprehensive set of responsibilities aimed at ensuring exceptional service quality at events and daily operations within the club. This includes familiarization with menu items and beverage options, setting up event spaces, servicing guests efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The position demands alertness, a positive attitude, and a willingness to assist across various operational areas, ensuring smooth event execution and guest experiences.
By joining Pyramid Global Hospitality and The Quadrangle Club team, candidates become part of an inclusive, diverse community where career development is supported, and efforts to create unique and memorable guest experiences are deeply appreciated. The company’s emphasis on comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, wellness programs, and special employee perks, further enhances the appeal of this opportunity. Whether starting a career in hospitality or continuing a seasoned journey, this position offers a pathway to growth within a respected and globally connected hospitality group.
