The On-Call Banquet Server role at Mandarin Oriental, Boston, presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exquisite service in a vibrant, fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. Situated within the Banquets Department, this position involves working closely with the team to ensure flawless execution of banquet events, offering a high degree of client care and exceptional service standards throughout each event. This role reports directly to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and requires flexibility as it operates on an on-call basis, including weekends and holidays. The Banquet Server is expected to be a team player, embracing integrity, respect, and responsibility while demonstrating a growth mindset. The compensation for this position includes an hourly rate of $17.45 plus gratuity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to rewarding exceptional performance.
Key responsibilities include setting up banquet tables according to brand standards, delivering correct orders professionally to guests, promptly clearing tables between courses, anticipating guest needs efficiently, and communicating special requests or dietary requirements to the kitchen. Additionally, the Banquet Server maintains the pantry and side stations with adequate Mise en Place and ensures the back-of-house areas are clean, tidy, and safe. Continuous monitoring of the assigned section is crucial to maximize guest satisfaction and uphold the highest standards throughout the event.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel property
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Willing to work a flexible on-call schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the shift
- Able to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel property
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and oral English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic operation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of banquet service standards and etiquette
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
Job Duties
- Provide excellent service at all times to guests
