The On-Call Banquet Cook role at Mandarin Oriental, Boston is a critical position within the Culinary Department. - Minimum of 2 years in a similar position, luxury hospitality strongly preferred
- Good knife skills
- Knowledgeable about a variety of food and cuisines and proper sanitation practices
- Must be able to walk and stand for the entirety of the shift
- Must be able to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Flexible schedule for on-call shifts to include weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Carry out the production of all dishes according to prescribed recipes and specifications ensuring portion size, quality and presentation conform to Mandarin Oriental standards
- Check and prepare required mise-en-place
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food to minimize spoilage
- Keep the kitchen area clean and hygienic
- Monitor refrigerators and kitchen equipment to ensure they are in working order
- Set up the kitchen pass before each service following the Chef’s requirements
- Handle complaints and enquiries promptly and effectively
- Recommend and develop solutions to meet guests’ changing needs
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by kitchen management
