Job Description
We are a neighborhood restaurant located in the vibrant Cherry Creek area of Colorado, dedicated to providing genuine and reliable fare in a socially engaging atmosphere. Our restaurant is a beloved spot where friends and soon-to-be friends come together to celebrate the things they cherish most: great food, great drinks, and great company. We take hospitality to heart by ensuring all of our guests feel completely at home and leave our establishment feeling satisfied, nourished, and inspired. The level of thoughtful prestige that defines our restaurant is further enhanced by our proud accomplishment of being named Denver’s only AAA 4-Diamond independent hotel in 2023. Additionally, we have been recognized as one of Denver’s “Best Places to Work,” reflecting our commitment to creating a positive, rewarding work environment for our team members.
This role is for a Banquet Bartender, whose key responsibilities include bringing genuine warmth and charismatic energy behind the bar during special events such as weddings, birthdays, and conferences. This person will be responsible and organized, works well within a team, and can perform quickly and efficiently even in a fast-paced environment. The ideal Banquet Bartender will have strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, coffee, and brunch beverage offerings to create memorable experiences for guests. Along with serving drinks, the bartender ensures the bar area and surrounding service spaces are maintained with cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards.
The Banquet Bartender plays a crucial role in our events, providing warm, attentive, and engaging service to guests both at the bar and within the dining space. They anticipate guest needs to create personalized experiences through thoughtful hospitality while monitoring guest alcohol consumption and ensuring responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws. In addition to preparing and serving beverages according to established recipes and service standards, this individual collaborates closely with culinary and service teams to guarantee seamless guest experiences. They also assist with inventory organization, stocking, garnish preparation, and daily side work duties, all while maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
We value candidates with previous bartending experience in a restaurant, banquet, hotel, or upscale hospitality environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a polished and approachable demeanor, are essential for success in this role. Candidates should be able to multitask and remain composed when faced with busy periods and challenging scenarios. We are looking for someone with a passion for hospitality and delivering elevated guest experiences, coupled with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays, is required. Current alcohol service certification is preferred where applicable. Due to the physical demands of the job, the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry bar products, glassware, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds is necessary.
As part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members. These benefits include accommodating paid time off and PTO exchange options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, maternity and paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care and 401k plans, a student loan repayment program, and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits. The health, happiness, and overall well-being of our team members remain our top priority. We take pride in our Guiding Principles that define how we work successfully together and encourage all team members to live by them instinctively.
Makeready LLC and its affiliated entities are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every team member can be their true independent self and find success. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, disability, gender, sex, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, veteran status, or any other protected status. Our hiring decisions are made solely based on individual qualifications, experience, abilities, and job performance. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a dynamic and welcoming environment, we invite you to apply for the Banquet Bartender position at our Cherry Creek neighborhood restaurant. The job close date is July 30, 2026, or until filled.
