The role of OMS Account Manager at Optimum is designed for dynamic, enthusiastic professionals eager to contribute to the company’s growth strategy through hyperlocal event coordination. This position supports a variety of sales organizations, including Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU), retail, door-to-door (D2D), business-to-business (B2B), and small-to-medium business (SMB) teams, with an emphasis on communication alignment with Field Services. This is a critical role that involves identifying, coordinating, and executing local events to secure opportunities for brand engagement and drive sales performance. The OMS Account Manager plays a vital part in lead generation and sales conversion by assisting sales teams with event planning, execution, and post-event follow-up. Reporting directly to the OMS Events Manager, this role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to build lasting relationships, and excellent communication capabilities. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and is adept at juggling multiple responsibilities while ensuring smooth event operation and effective collaboration across various departments.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • five plus years relevant experience in event coordination or sales support
  • availability to work nights and weekends
  • reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capacity to move event equipment and materials
  • proficiency in CRM tools, Salesforce preferred
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • Five plus years of experience in event coordination, sales environment, community engagement, or related fields
  • strong leadership and coordination skills across multiple sales channels

Job Duties

  • Identify and secure hyperlocal events that align with growth strategies
  • develop partnerships with community stakeholders including HOAs, MDU properties, city officials, new businesses, and housing developments
  • create and maintain a market event calendar including sponsorships, pop-ups, networking functions, and outreach campaigns
  • collaborate with construction, government affairs, and sales teams to align events with Fiber projects and market offers
  • coordinate event logistics such as staffing, setup, branding, and materials
  • provide on-site leadership for smooth event operations, brand consistency, customer experience, and escalation management
  • liaison between event partners, vendors, and internal teams
  • facilitate sales leads and customer engagement through events
  • train and support sales teams to maximize event opportunities and community relationships
  • educate teams on network advantages and ethical sales representation
  • assist sales teams in capturing, qualifying, and following up on leads
  • track and report event metrics, including attendance, engagement, leads, and conversions
  • deliver detailed event recaps and insights to leadership
  • maintain event lead databases and follow-up processes
