Job Description
Optimum is a leading communications and connectivity company dedicated to providing reliable, high-speed internet solutions that empower individuals, fuel businesses, and drive innovation. Recognized as a prominent player in the telecommunications industry, Optimum prides itself on its commitment to customer satisfaction, community engagement, and technological advancement. The company’s success is driven by its innovative product offerings, dedication to employee development, and strong corporate culture. With a focus on connectivity as a necessity, Optimum strives to enhance the everyday lives of its customers by keeping them connected in a fast-paced digital world.
The OMS Account Manager at Optimum plays a crucial role in executing the company’s growth and community engagement strategies through hyperlocal events. This full-time position involves working closely with multiple sales channels—such as MDU, Retail, Door-to-Door (D2D), Business-to-Business (B2B), and Small and Medium Business (SMB)—to maximize brand visibility and sales performance. Reporting directly to the OMS Events Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for identifying, coordinating, and delivering local events that align with Optimum’s strategic objectives. These events serve as key opportunities to generate leads, support sales efforts, and engage new and existing customers.
This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and excels at building relationships with community leaders, vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams. The OMS Account Manager will collaborate extensively across departments such as construction, government affairs, and field services to ensure event alignment with new fiber build projects, promotional offers, and customer retention initiatives. Leadership at events is essential to delivering a consistent, positive customer experience and managing any operational challenges that may arise.
The Account Manager also provides essential support and training to sales teams, educating them on network advantages, ethical sales practices, and how to leverage events for maximum engagement and conversion. This role demands proficiency with CRM platforms—Salesforce preferred—for tracking leads and maintaining detailed reporting on event performance metrics. Eligible for quarterly incentives tied to event quality and sales impact, this position offers a competitive salary accompanied by comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth within the Optimum organization.
Ultimately, joining Optimum as an OMS Account Manager means more than just coordinating events. It means being at the forefront of a company committed to doing what’s right, driving unity within its teams, and making tangible differences in the communities it serves. With a culture focused on empowerment, innovation, and continuous learning, Optimum encourages employees to bring new ideas and to be the difference that shapes the future of connectivity. If you are motivated, resourceful, and passionate about community engagement and sales performance, this exciting career opportunity at Optimum awaits you.
