The Prep Cook role at McMenamins Old St. Francis School is essential to the restaurant’s operations, focusing on opening the kitchen and preparing food items necessary for daily service. The position involves skilled food preparation duties such as slicing, chopping, producing cold and hot sauces, rotating products properly, organizing the walk-in refrigerator, and maintaining kitchen sanitation. Additionally, the role includes line cooking responsibilities during shifts. A Prep Cook must take ownership of their workspace, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times.
