The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the workplace situated in the William Pitt Union on campus. The salary range for this position is competitive, between $16.50 and $20 per hour.\n\nThe OIS Receptionist plays a crucial role in managing a variety of responsibilities that ensure efficient office functioning. Primary duties include answering telephones, welcoming guests, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and performing basic data entry tasks. Additional responsibilities encompass scheduling and managing calendars in coordination with team members, providing logistical support during meetings and events, and addressing customer inquiries received via walk-ins, calls, or emails. The role also entails preparing and editing technical documents such as financial reports, presentation materials, and routine correspondence in adherence to established guidelines and formats. Further duties include making minor purchases, collecting payments, verifying billing information, filing paperwork, distributing mail, maintaining mailing lists, and assisting with travel arrangements when needed.\n\nIdeal candidates for this position are customer-service oriented, attentive to detail, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. While a high school diploma or GED is required, the University values a combination of education and relevant experience and considers substitution opportunities accordingly.
