Job Description
Disneyland Resort is a world-renowned theme park and entertainment complex located in Southern California. Known for its magical experiences and exceptional guest service, Disneyland Resort offers a unique work environment where employees contribute to creating memorable moments for millions of visitors each year. As a hospitality and entertainment leader, Disneyland Resort provides a wide range of career opportunities across various departments, including attractions, operations, maintenance, food and beverage, and more. The resort values professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for excellence, making it a sought-after employer in the Southern California region.
The Oiler-Truck Driver role at Disneyland Resort is a vital position within the Facilities Maintenance department. This role involves operating fuel trucks to provide fueling services, performing lubrication support, conducting oil analysis, and handling tire repairs for vehicles and equipment used across the resort. The position supports all departments that operate motorized vehicles and equipment, including those involved in Attractions that require routine lubrication. This ensures that the operational integrity and safety of the resort’s mechanical assets are maintained to the highest standards.
Applicants must have at least one year of professional automotive maintenance experience; experience limited to personal cars or informal work does not meet the qualifications. The Oiler-Truck Driver must demonstrate proficiency in tire repair techniques such as patching and plugging, handling split rims safely, and a general knowledge of tire tread types, ply ratings, and proper tire pressures. Lubrication duties require familiarity with the fundamentals, oil sampling and analysis, and performing oil changes efficiently to support ongoing maintenance schedules.
This role also requires the safe operation of fuel trucks, tire machines, and various hand tools. Additionally, candidates should be knowledgeable in handling hazardous waste materials responsibly to comply with safety regulations. The ability to quickly learn and utilize the resort’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO) is essential for tracking work orders and maintenance activities effectively.
The position demands flexibility, as the work schedule includes any shift—day, evening, or night—with rotations that may cover holidays and various days off. The schedule flexibility ensures continuous support for resort operations, especially given the scale and complexity of Disneyland’s mechanical assets.
Regarding compensation, the role offers a pay rate between $32.45 and $41.42 per hour based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The exact salary within this range depends on multiple factors such as geographic location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. As part of the overall compensation package, select benefits may be available, including medical, financial, and other employee benefits. Additional workplace requirements include attending an annual Hearing Conservation Training class and undergoing an audiometric exam to comply with health and safety standards.
This position is open only to local Southern California applicants, with no relocation assistance provided, emphasizing the employer’s preference for candidates who already reside within commuting distance of the resort. Disneyland Resort encourages candidates to carefully review the detailed application instructions and fully complete all application pages prior to submission to be considered for this distinctive maintenance role.
