With a strong commitment to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability, Safety-Kleen focuses on hazardous waste management, parts-cleaning technology, and oil re-refining. They generate over $1.2 billion in annual revenue and manage the collection and re-refining of large volumes of used motor oil each year, positioning themselves as a market leader in North America. The company’s culture prioritizes safety above all else and provides a supportive work environment that emphasizes health, environmental protection, and personal development. They promote green business practices and help their customers reduce their environmental footprint while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The Local Class B Route Driver role at Safety-Kleen is a vital position responsible for the safe and efficient pickup of waste oil and antifreeze from various customer locations such as garages, automotive dealerships, quick change oil facilities, fleet maintenance sites, bus companies, airports, and rental car services. This role requires operating a Class B tanker truck and handling tasks like pumping out tanks and collecting samples. Safety-Kleen offers competitive wages ranging from $24 to $25 per hour based on experience, plus commission, and provides comprehensive benefits such as health insurance coverage after 30 days, 401K matching, and employee stock purchase plans. Employees enjoy a local Monday to Friday schedule with home nightly, creating a work-life balance advantage.
In addition to rewarding compensation, Safety-Kleen invests in employee development by offering paid training, tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities at every career stage. The company places a heavy emphasis on health and safety, embedding those values into day-to-day operations and ensuring all team members follow safe work practices. This position also includes an essential customer service aspect, requiring strong interpersonal skills to generate new business leads during daily routes.
Working at Safety-Kleen means joining a company dedicated to environmental stewardship and employee wellbeing, supported by an inclusive culture that values diversity and equal opportunity. As part of a veteran-friendly company, Safety-Kleen ensures reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities and complies with pay transparency laws. This role offers a fulfilling career path for drivers with Class B CDL licenses looking to work in a stable, safety-focused environment with competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.
