As a neighborhood favorite, Take 5 prides itself on delivering top-notch customer service while allowing customers to remain comfortably seated in their vehicles during the entire oil change process. This longstanding commitment to quality and convenience has made Take 5 Oil Change a trusted name across numerous communities nationwide.
The company operates as an automotive service provider specializing in quick oil change and light preventative maintenance services, including replacing wiper blades and air filters and filling air in tires. Take 5 is dedicated to continual growth and development, emphasizing internal promotion and career advancement opportunities. Over 90 percent of their field leaders have risen through the ranks within the company, reflecting Take 5’s commitment to nurturing talent from within.
Currently, Take 5 Oil Change is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Shop Managers to join their expanding team. This role offers a unique chance for individuals who enjoy leadership and teamwork, whether they come from a managerial background or are just starting their careers. The Shop Manager position is full-time and offers competitive base salaries starting around $55,000 annually, with additional bonuses available based on performance.
No prior experience is necessary to apply, as Take 5 provides comprehensive paid training on all technical, managerial, and customer service aspects of the role. Candidates will learn the Take 5 way of managing a shop location, performing oil changes, and conducting light maintenance tasks. This training ensures that all employees are well-equipped to uphold the company’s high standards.
Shop Managers play a pivotal role in daily operations. They lead teams by recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Scheduling and payroll processing are key functions, as well as managing inventory through End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) counts, along with timely product ordering and restocking. Financial oversight duties include understanding shop financials to drive results and manage budgets responsibly.
Additionally, Shop Managers are responsible for evaluating employee performance through quarterly reviews and providing hands-on support by participating in oil changes and other light auto services when needed. A strong focus on outstanding customer service is essential to maintaining Take 5’s reputation.
Physical demands of the role require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, maneuver in and out of shallow pits safely, and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and twisting for extended periods. Managers must also be adaptable to varying weather conditions and be willing to work early hours and occasional extended shifts up to 55 hours per week. Reliable transportation to and from the worksite and basic computer skills are necessary for this position.
Beyond the competitive salary, Take 5 offers full-time employees numerous benefits including free oil changes, paid time off, health, vision, and dental insurance, and a 401(k) company match. Employees can also access 50 percent of their earned wages early through the myFlexPay program, supporting financial flexibility and well-being.
In summary, joining Take 5 Oil Change as a Shop Manager means becoming part of a supportive and growth-oriented company where leadership qualities are valued and developed. Whether you’re an experienced manager from related industries or someone eager to start a rewarding career, Take 5 provides the tools, training, and opportunities needed to succeed and advance in the automotive service field.
