Job Description

SP+, a Metropolis company, is a pioneering artificial intelligence company specializing in real-world solutions through advanced computer vision technology. Their innovative approach revolutionizes parking by providing checkout-free experiences, eliminating the hassle of tickets, machines, apps, or credit cards. Instead, customers enjoy a seamless "drive in and drive out" process, making parking simpler, faster, and more convenient. As the largest parking network in America, SP+ supports mobility at over 4,000 locations across North America and Europe, backed by a workforce of more than 23,000 employees. The company’s mission is to reinvent parking, recognizing its essential role in day-to-day life and its impact on everyone. With a focus on enhancing everyday experiences related to living, working, and playing, SP+ aims to reclaim the most valuable asset for people—time.

Currently, SP+ is seeking dedicated valets for their Marquam Hill Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Valet operation, a position that offers purposeful work in a caring environment. The role is full-time, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Valets receive a competitive hourly wage of $18 plus tips, making it a rewarding opportunity for energetic and responsible individuals. This position is ideal for self-starters who thrive on direct interaction with people and have a keen interest in delivering exceptional customer service. At SP+, new valets join a knowledgeable and supportive team that values growth and success, with many team members having advanced from valet positions.

The valet driver role centers on delivering outstanding client experiences by ensuring every customer interaction is smooth and professional. Responsibilities include safely inspecting and parking vehicles, communicating clearly with customers about rates and operations, and adhering strictly to traffic laws and company policies. Valets are expected to maintain neat personal appearance and uniform standards throughout their shifts and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient parking environment. They also assist management with various tasks, supporting the overall operation of the valet service.

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record suitable for passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) check. While experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred, it is not mandatory. Previous customer service or parking experience is highly desirable as well. Additionally, valets should exhibit the ability to handle currency accurately, follow instructions diligently, and remain composed in dynamic work situations involving unexpected delays or changes.

The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions, ensuring an inclusive work environment. Physical demands include regular standing, walking, and handling equipment or cash, along with lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds occasionally. This role offers a pathway to develop valuable skills and progress within a leading parking and mobility company.

SP+ embraces diversity and equal opportunity employment, actively fostering an environment free from discrimination and harassment. Eligible employees gain access to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance options, life and accident insurance, 401(k) savings plan, and paid time off. Applicants must provide legal authorization to work in the United States upon hire. SP+ also utilizes automated tools to evaluate applications fairly based on job qualifications while respecting privacy and data retention policies. Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a forward-thinking, customer-focused organization making a significant impact on everyday life through innovative parking solutions.
