Job Description
Visiting Angels is a nationally recognized and award-winning home care company known for its compassionate approach to supporting seniors and individuals in need of in-home care services. As a trusted leader in the home care industry, Visiting Angels has earned the reputation of being an "Employer of Choice," which speaks volumes about its commitment to providing not only exceptional care to its clients but also fostering a supportive and enriching work environment for its employees. The company prides itself on delivering personalized care tailored to each client, enhancing their quality of life while allowing them to remain safely in their own homes. This dedication to quality care has established Visiting Angels as a go-to provider for families seeking reliable, respectful, and caring home assistance.
The Receptionist / Office Assistant role at Visiting Angels is a full-time position designed for individuals who are eager to contribute positively to the team and maintain the smooth functioning of the office operations. This position is pivotal because it serves as the first point of contact for clients, caregivers, and visitors alike, making the receptionist the welcoming face and voice of the company. Beyond greeting guests, the role involves managing phone communications, supporting scheduling functions, and performing various administrative tasks that ensure operational efficiency. The position offers a rewarding experience since it directly influences the satisfaction of clients and employees by maintaining a professional and organized environment.
Working with Visiting Angels means joining a team that values making a difference every day. The company offers a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere where employees are encouraged to collaborate and grow professionally. Employees benefit from comprehensive healthcare packages, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, which reinforce the company’s commitment to employee well-being. Additional benefits include life insurance and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), designed to provide support in times of personal or professional need.
As the central hub of office activities, the Receptionist / Office Assistant is responsible for greeting visitors with a warm and professional demeanor, managing incoming calls efficiently, and supporting scheduling staff by monitoring caregiver clock-ins and outs. Keeping meticulous records, assisting with office coordination, and ensuring that shared spaces are clean and well-stocked are vital elements of the role. This position also includes thoughtful touches like preparing employee birthday and sympathy cards, enhancing the family-like culture that Visiting Angels nurtures. The job demands someone who can multitask, prioritize effectively, and exhibit self-motivation and independence while remaining a dependable team player.
For those with prior experience in receptionist or administrative roles who excel in communication and organization, this opportunity is a chance to grow within a company that truly values its employees and the work they do. Bonus qualifications, such as familiarity with scheduling software or a healthcare background, notably strengthen a candidate's fit for this role. Overall, this role is suited for someone who not only enjoys a fast-paced office environment but also takes pride in being an essential part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving lives through compassionate care.
