Job Description
The MSCC (Multi-Service Community Center) is a vibrant community-focused organization dedicated to providing exceptional services and programs to its members, guests, and community partners. MSCC prides itself on fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment where community members can gather, participate in recreational and educational activities, and benefit from various support services. The center acts as a hub for community engagement, offering programs and facility rentals that cater to a wide range of needs. The organization values efficiency, excellent customer service, and seamless operations to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
The MSCC Office Manager plays a pivotal role within the organization by overseeing the daily administrative functions that keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. This full-time position is responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating facility rentals, handling phone and email inquiries, and supporting financial tracking related to rentals and general office administration. The Office Manager ensures that all office procedures are followed correctly and that a professional, organized, and welcoming atmosphere is maintained for all visitors and staff.
In this role, the Office Manager acts as the primary point of contact for members, guests, community partners, and rental clients, providing timely and courteous responses to inquiries and ensuring that all facility rental processes — from scheduling and contract preparation to payment collection and event support — run flawlessly. Additionally, the Office Manager maintains an organized system for handling incoming and outgoing mail and general correspondence, manages supplies, and coordinates communication between different departments regarding facility use and scheduling.
This position demands strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, as the Office Manager must balance a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a high standard of customer service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with scheduling, CRM, or financial software systems are important to carry out the responsibilities effectively. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, responsive to customer concerns, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while supporting the overall mission and values of the MSCC.
Working at the MSCC means joining a team committed to community wellness and engagement, with an emphasis on supportive work culture and employee development. The Office Manager will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the smooth operation of the center and the satisfaction of its diverse community members. The standard work hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, allowing for a consistent and structured work schedule.
Overall, this position offers a unique opportunity to blend administrative expertise with community service, playing a central role in maintaining the MSCC’s reputation for excellence and service. The MSCC's comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, generous paid time off, as well as paid holidays and childcare benefits, further enhances the value of this role, promoting a balanced and rewarding work-life experience.
