Job Description
U-Haul is a well-established company that has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households since 1945. Founded by L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife Anna Mary Carty Shoen, U-Haul revolutionized the moving industry by providing one-way, nationwide moving equipment rental services. The company’s vision allowed millions of people across the U.S. and Canada to move efficiently and affordably. Over the years, U-Haul has grown into a multi-faceted organization that offers a vast range of products and services, including trailers, trucks, storage solutions like U-Box portable storage, and moving supplies. It is recognized for its extensive network and strong commitment to customer service, product innovation, and employee well-being.
U-Haul Holding Company and its family of companies have also developed a culture that emphasizes health and wellness for their employees, promoting workplace policies that support a nicotine-free environment in many states. As a company, U-Haul continues to invest in career growth opportunities, employee benefits, and community engagement, making it a reputable and dependable employer in the transportation and moving industry.
The position of Office Manager / Bilingual Reservation Manager at U-Haul is a dynamic and essential role within the organization. Reporting to the Traffic Control Manager, this position focuses significantly on customer service, team collaboration, and operational efficiency. The role primarily involves managing reservations, handling customer calls, supporting field team members and dealerships, and ensuring the effective placement and distribution of U-Haul equipment to meet regional market demands. Since U-Haul’s inventory and availability must be optimized continuously, the Reservation Manager Agent plays a crucial part in reviewing reports, managing contracts, and facilitating smooth communication between customers, dealerships, and internal teams.
This job suits candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy teamwork, and excel at multitasking. Due to the bilingual nature of the position, fluency in English and Spanish is required, enabling the manager to serve a diverse customer base effectively. In addition to managing equipment and reservations, the role supports specific company products such as U-Box portable storage services.
U-Haul offers a variety of personal and professional benefits for employees, including career stability, advancement opportunities, health insurance and prescription plans, paid vacations and holidays, life insurance, and legal programs, among others. This position is perfect for individuals eager to build a career within a long-standing company that values both employee development and excellent customer service. The Office Manager / Bilingual Reservation Manager role is a vital link that helps maintain U-Haul’s reputation as a leader in the moving and self-storage industry, ensuring that customer needs are met quickly and that equipment availability remains balanced across regional markets.
