ChristianaCare is currently seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join its team on a weekend basis, with an expectation of working at least two weekend days per month and the opportunity to accept additional weekday shifts if desired. This role is situated in the acute Rehab Unit at the Wilmington Hospital, offering a dynamic and supportive work setting equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including a well-equipped therapy gym and a Transitional Living Apartment designed to simulate real-life environments such as a fully functional kitchen, bathroom, and living area for patient rehabilitation. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with a diverse patient population suffering from neurological, trauma, cardiac, and general debility conditions, providing skilled therapeutic interventions to enhance their functional independence and quality of life.

Job Requirements
- bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree in occupational therapy
- licensure or license eligibility in the state of Delaware as an occupational therapist
- cpr certification
- at least one year of clinical experience preferred
- membership in the american occupational therapy association preferred
- ability to work weekends at least two days per month
- willingness to pick up additional weekday shifts
- strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- assess patients to develop individualized occupational therapy plans

- document patient progress and update treatment plans accordingly
- educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and functional strategies
