This position focuses on delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe food service to residents, their guests, and staff. The server is responsible for various food service and dish room tasks, including preparation, presentation, proper meal ticket handling, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in dining areas.

This role demands proactive knowledge acquisition about menu items and ingredients to enhance the dining experience. Servers uphold an attentive service demeanor, ensuring each resident feels welcomed and valued through friendly greetings, eye contact, and personalized attention. Job Duties

  • Properly fill out meal tickets for fast and accurate service
  • Maintain the needs of all residents in section and dining room
  • Notify fellow server or management if additional assistance is required
  • Offer a friendly greeting, smile, and make eye contact with every resident and guest
  • Let residents know you will serve them shortly if you are helping another resident or guest
  • Thank each resident and guest
  • Give residents your full attention throughout their service
  • Complete assigned work lists
  • Maintain inventory of food and beverages as well as needed supplies for the shift
  • Provides residents with fast service
  • Provides residents with friendly service
  • Prepare for service
  • Adheres to all Health Code policies and standards as ordained by the Health Department
  • Ensure all stored food and beverages are accurately labeled and dated
  • Rotates all food and beverages for freshness
  • Purges any expired food and beverages
  • Maintains the sanitation and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining room
  • Adheres to all work rule policies regarding safety
  • Utilizes badge cards to help ensure a safe environment
  • Report any incident or accident to management
  • Ensures all walking surfaces are safe from slip and trip hazards
  • Ensure safe storage and display of dishes, utensils, etc.
  • Immediately correct unsafe conditions or notify management
  • Keep the work area free from clutter to avoid injury to residents and co-workers
  • Know the contact numbers for the nurse and security in case of an incident or accident
  • In case of an emergency, be able to assist with the needs and safety of residents
  • Be in uniform at all times, including non-slip, brown or black shoes
