Job Description

The hiring company is a leading Destination Management Company (DMC) specializing in providing comprehensive event and travel management services. DMCs are companies that offer expert local knowledge, logistics, and professional resources to design and execute events, activities, tours, and transportation for corporate clients and groups. This company is renowned for its commitment to excellence and attention to detail, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all clients and guests. They work closely with vendors, venues, and transportation providers to deliver flawless event execution and superior customer service. The company prides itself on its professional and friendly team that acts as the front line for client interactions, setting the tone for the entire guest experience.

The Field Staff role is an integral part of this company, responsible for providing exemplary on-site service and support during events and programs. Field Staff are the direct face of the company, frequently interacting with guests and clients, and ensuring all aspects of the event run smoothly. This position requires staff to be well-presented, knowledgeable, and capable of proactively supporting the guest experience. The role demands excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, vendors, transportation providers, and other staff members. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism at all times and be able to anticipate and resolve potential problems while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.

Additionally, Field Staff must be familiar with the venues where they work and be able to provide accurate information or narration about the area's specifics when required. They are responsible for reviewing their trip sheets promptly, maintaining accurate calendars to avoid overbooking, and recording their hours and expenses regularly. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. The role also requires a keen awareness of emergency procedures such as the locations of exits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, security, and protocols for guests with special needs.

The company offers uniforms, badges, and clipboards to support professional presentation and expects staff to bring these supplies to each shift. The Field Staff will play a key role during arrivals, transportation, on-site activities, dinner transfers, off-site evenings, and departures by assisting guests and ensuring that schedules and logistics run according to plan. This position is ideal for individuals who have at least two years of experience in the event industry or DMC field staff experience and possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with sound judgment. The role is typically short-term or project-based, covering specific dates such as June 22 to June 26. This hands-on role offers valuable exposure to event management, client servicing, and operational coordination, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking dynamic and rewarding work in the event and hospitality industry.
