Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the event industry
- knowledge of DMC field staff roles a plus
- strong communication skills
- ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- empathetic yet firm interpersonal skills
- ability to develop professional relationships across departments
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- demonstrate professional dialogue and behavior with staff, representatives, vendor contacts, clients, and attendees
- stand for the duration of shifts, working indoors or outdoors
- communicate availability, cancellations, and time constraints to the Staffing Department prior to trip sheet confirmation
- bring provided uniforms, badges, and clipboards to every shift
- arrive on time for all shifts as specified
- maintain calendar to prevent overbooking
- provide information or narration about their assigned area or venue
- read and confirm trip sheet details within 24 hours of receipt
- input hours and expenses into ADP payroll system weekly
- lift up to 25lbs
- identify potential problems and bring them to on-site lead or Account Manager
- be familiar with emergency protocols at venue
- greet attendees, assist with luggage, and direct to transportation
- count attendees boarding vehicles
- communicate issues calmly to supervisor
- follow transportation requirements
- introduce themselves to vehicle drivers
- be familiar with routes and provide guidance
- confirm signage on vehicles
- reserve seat on vehicles when required
- discuss itinerary and accommodations with on-site lead
- monitor route and communicate changes to drivers
- keep track of guest counts during activities
- distribute liability waivers
- ensure venue readiness and setup according to standards
- verify parking and drop-off areas for vehicles
- track guest counts during dinner transfers and off-site events
- manage manifests and communicate during arrivals and departures
