This role specifically focuses on preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch meals in the cafeteria and for residents within the healthcare facility. Responsibilities include setting up the cafeteria serving line with the correct pans and garnishes, preparing foods ahead of cooking times, and cleaning kitchen equipment post-use to maintain a hygienic environment. Additionally, the Cook assists in serving meals to residents and cafeteria patrons when needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Physical demands include constant standing, pulling carts and equipment, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in hot conditions. The schedule includes working Monday through Friday, with shifts alternating between day, afternoon, and every other weekend shifts, including hours from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm or 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of quantity food preparation experience within a healthcare environment. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth delivery of meals aligned with dietary prescriptions, enhancing the overall care experience for residents and staff.
