The Nutrition Services Assistant position at Fridley High School offers an opportunity to join a dedicated team that is passionate about promoting child nutrition. This role involves preparing, producing, and serving a variety of healthy food options to students with a focus on quality and adherence to nutritional guidelines set by the Minnesota State Department of Education. The assistant will work on-site for 4.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, in an environment that requires both efficiency and teamwork. Responsibilities include cutting vegetables, managing the salad bar, serving customers, washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing assigned work areas, and assisting with inventory and stock management. The role is suited for individuals who possess a positive attitude, a keen attention to detail, a willingness to learn new skills, and an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position is vital in creating an atmosphere of cleanliness, cheerfulness, and personal care in the school’s nutritional service area. Compensation for this role depends on education and experience and follows the salary grid established under the Nutritional Services Agreement. This position is classified under the Nutritional Services bargaining unit and does not offer remote work options, emphasizing the importance of on-site presence and interaction with the school community.
