Joining Main Line Health as a Nutritional Host at Riddle Memorial Hospital means becoming an integral part of a team dedicated to enriching patient stays through thoughtful and attentive food and nutrition services. The Nutritional Host plays a pivotal role in introducing the Food and Nutrition Services Department to patients, delivering meals, and ensuring that each patient feels cared for with a warm and friendly presence. This position directly impacts the overall patient experience by offering assistance during meal times and by providing follow-up support to address any patient needs or concerns.
This role offers the opportunity to develop and grow professionally within the healthcare industry. Employees in this position are encouraged to pursue further education and certifications, supported by Main Line Health's Tuition Reimbursement program, which provides up to $6,000 per year depending on whether the employee is full-time or part-time. Beyond career growth, working at Main Line Health allows individuals to join a diverse team representing various backgrounds and abilities, united by the shared goal of delivering superior service and care.
In addition to fostering professional development, this role offers several position-specific benefits, such as up to 120 hours of paid time off annually (based on employment status), exclusive employee discounts on various services and activities, and free employee parking. The work schedule for this position is 3:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, including every other weekend shift.
As a Nutritional Host, candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills. While prior food service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, the essential requirement is the ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform all assigned tasks. This role is ideal for those passionate about supporting patient care and creating a positive hospital experience through attentive nutritional service.
