Job Requirements
- Food handler's permit or ability to obtain prior to hire
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Proof of personal automobile liability insurance if driving personal vehicle
- Successful completion of criminal history background check
- Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to work varied days, hours, and locations based on program needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- One year of experience coordinating community programs and working with volunteers
- Six months of food handling experience
- Basic computer proficiency
- Effective communication and relationship building skills
- Strong customer service skills and professional boundaries
- Ability to follow instructions and make decisions consistent with policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Coordinate daily operations of congregate meal sites and support home-delivered meal services
- Ensure food is handled, prepared, and served in compliance with health and sanitation standards
- Maintain accurate meal counts, participant records, and required program documentation
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers
- ensure compliance with program and safety requirements
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for participants and promote social engagement
- Conduct outreach and collaborate with community partners to support program goals
- Deliver meals as needed and assist with participant assessments and communication
- Support program integrity by following all policies, confidentiality requirements, and mandatory reporting obligations
