Job Requirements
- Good organizational and mathematical skills
- Ability to follow direction
- Pleasant personality
- Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
- Food service experience
- Ability to work with computers or willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Serve Safe certification
- Attain certification level 3 or 4 with School Nutrition Association within one year of employment
- Knowledge of dietary guidelines, USDA regulations, and Minnesota Food Code
- Computer experience specifically with Gmail, Linq Software Solutions, inventory and menu planning, Skyward and Campus
- Cashiering ability
- Ability to pass background check and physical
- Good physical health including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination standing and walking
- Repetitive motion with wrists, hands and fingers
- Frequent bending, carrying, hearing, lifting and stooping
- Occasional climbing and crawling
- Standing for long periods of time as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing and climbing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Serve Safe certification
- Certification level 3 or 4 with School Nutrition Association within one year of employment
- Knowledge of dietary guidelines, USDA regulations, and Minnesota Food Code
- Experience with computers including Gmail, Linq Software Solutions, inventory and menu planning software, Skyward, and Campus
- Food service experience
- Cashiering ability
- Good organizational and mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Provide support in preparing and serving school meals
- Ensure compliance with Nutrition Services policies including sanitation and safety standards
- Function as a cashier when necessary
- Enter temperatures on temperature sheets and record food usage on pick lists
- Assist the Kitchen Manager with cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, cleaning spills, and taking inventory
- Manage inventory and menu planning using software tools
- Perform any other duties as assigned
