Spokane Public Schools provides a comprehensive benefits package through the School Employee Benefits Board (SEBB), including medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees who work at least 630 hours annually. Additionally, employees enjoy vacation, sick leave, personal days, and paid holidays, with opportunities for additional pay provisions based on negotiated collective bargaining agreements.

This position also involves essential administrative duties such as record keeping, inventory management, food safety compliance, and maintaining sanitation standards. Employees may provide supervision and training to prep workers, student workers, and substitutes, adding leadership responsibilities to the role. The job may also occasionally require transporting food between school locations, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility.
